Bridport Hat Festival 2011

This Septemeber will see Bridport put on the Hat-World map as it is set to host the UK’s first ever Hat Festival over the long weekend of Friday 17th September and Sunday 19th.

The original idea is from Roger Snook whose Bridport shop (T Snooks), brings people from all over the world – including many celebrities. Roger says he’s been thinking about it for a long while and thinks local traders and the town asa whole could benefit from the event.

The idea is that Bridport Hat Festival is to be an annual event to make people realise just how fashionable and stylish wearing hats can be – not to mention Bridport and West Dorset as places to live.
